WHAT WE DO

We're a contract free group of artists that believe you should have full rights to your own work, but also be able to protect your work, as well as interact and work with like minded people and artists! We're a small group of people, with just two people running the label.

WHY WE DO IT

Here, you can find our signed artists, their latest releases, social media links, merchandise and more. We're always updating the site to have the most up-to-date info and the best experience for fans. With that, it's good to note that if you find something broken, feel free to contact us by DM or email and we'll get on it.

WHAT TO NOTE, AND HOW WE WORK

Locon was formed as a way for artists to protect their work while also still having control over it - we thought that large labels were so full of greed at times, doing things such as not allowing an artist to have any access to their hard work, that the best choice would be to form something that let any of our artists do exactly what they want with their music - without being tied down by a corporation's greed. That's one of our biggest points. We don't try to control you or your creativity, which is why we have NO contracts. We're just a bunch of people trying to have fun and make some cool music. This also means that we have no restrictions on genre! It doesn't matter what you create, because we support everything just the same. You can find things from ambient piano pieces to crushing deathcore on Locon.

It may be strange to read, but like it was stated above, we aren't a big team. We don't have anyone who has a specific job. You're reading something written by one of our only two co-founders. Besides our artists, we are the only people who can do everything you see on this page and our other pages. Now - with that in mind, signing artists is a specific process. We strongly prefer people we've known beforehand, and if we don't know the person, we check to make sure they haven't done anything harmful to anyone else, or have any discriminatory beliefs - that means absolutely nothing negative about things such as race, gender, sexuality, and other things in that vein. We have a zero tolerance policy for behavior of that sort. If you're found to have done or said something harmful to any other person, we will not hesitate to cease contact. If everything looks nice and tidy, there's a high chance you'll be accepted and signed! If we don't get back to you immediately, it's usually because we're knee-deep in promo for our other artists. Remember, patience is rewarding.
